I'd say you are already doing a great job, and you should be proud. Your son sounds a lot like mine.
Here's the other side of the coin. He was born knowing how to do things I can't. His first crayon rapidly lead to a whole house full of art supplies. I gave him his first camera at age 4, when he "borrowed" mine once too often. He was a yearbook photographer for all 4 years in high school, and has since sold some of his more recent work. He's designed party invitations and restaurant menus. I bought guitars and drums from pawnshops for years. He still plays for fun, and he's a part time DJ. He just finished building a light table so he can screen print t-shirts with his own artwork.
In those cases, as he learned, all I did was pay the bills, and stay out of his way
