Ser Antthony of New Jersey :P

    Greetings everyone,

My name is Antthony and I live in the wonderful state of New Jersey. I work for Rutgers University and I am currently getting my Masters from said university. I enjoy traveling, reading, video games, board games, movies, and a whole bunch of other things. I am an avid reader of sci-fi/fantasy. My favorite works include but are not limited to: Wool [of course!], A Song of Ice and Fire, The Kingkiller Chronicles, The Ender's Game saga [you can tell by my username :P], Mistborn Trilogy, The Walking Dead...I could go on and on.

I also hope to one day write my own fantasy series :] but it is a bit difficult. Hugh has inspired me to attempt to write again, even though I am busy with school and work. Wool is the best work I have read this year, I convinced a bunch of my friends and co-workers to pick it up so that I may discuss it with someone [but now I have these here forums to do that!].

Thanks for taking your time and patience to read this. If you ever want to chat just let me know.

    - Antthony

I can't believe I inspire others to write. That's awesome. Just pick half an hour to an hour a day and stick with it. You'll surprise yourself.

Forgive me--the editor that I am has to know--is your name truly spelled "Antthony"? If so, may I ask how you wound up with that unusual spelling?

I also would like to know (because I'm nosy that way) in what field you're getting your master's degree.

:B Sorry for not responding as swift as I could. Ever since I was around 11 years old everyone would call me "Ant" as a nickname. Not wanting to be associated with the bug I would always spell it as Antt [my first AOL screename was Antt11]. Therefore as I aged I would start to spell my name as Antthony just because I thought it looked unique and everyone always asks about it. Not as exciting as you thought!

Secondly - I am getting my Masters degree in Human Resource management. I actually love interacting and talking to people...I find the field of HR to be very interesting and rewarding. :] People spend a lot of their lives at their place of work so if I can improve that environment it makes me feel good. I actually received my BA in Industrial/Organization Psychology and Creative Writing [double concentration!]. I hope to one day be published but my current situation doesn't leave me that much time to write. Student loans are a pain in the butt.

As you can tell I love to chat! Feel free to ask anything else...this is fun!

Welcome, Antthony. I'm curious -- did you like the Bean branch-off stories or the Ender tales better? (I only ask because I think I'm an oddball as I preferred Bean's stories.)

    ;D Greetings Tink!

I love Bean's saga x10000000 more than Ender's saga. I thought all of books in Bean's series were amazing [even the one that just came out in January] and I thought he was more interesting than Ender. [A lot of people will kill me for saying that]

I also have my fingers crossed that the movie is, at the very least, decent. I am scared of what they are going to do with it...however the cast does look promising.
