Oh yes Charla, There are great things about California (politics and traffic not withstanding) The area I live in is semi-rural. About 40 minutes to get to a beach, it is dry here in the summer and very hot, but we have all four seasons. Sunsets are beautiful & the nights are pretty cool, even in the summer, so if you can survive the day time, the nights make it worth it.
It sounds very nice. It is nice for me to be able to get first hand accounts of places that I will probably never get to visit. Others have posted pictures here. Would you have any good pictures you care to share?

First I must apologize because I don't have a lot of time to just play on the internet so I'm tardy responding. Thanks so much for the info! Your Hangout experience sounds like a scene from a Fellini film. That cracked me up. I've signed up sort of. It's all a bit confusing to me. I may or may not be able to experience the drawing live. I'm a statistical analyst - not really social media-savvy.
Is there a way to search for a Hangout?

I don't know who Fellini is, but I'm glad my description made you laugh. I made a second trip there, and it was even stranger.
I am getting more social media savvy everyday. It is great to talk with people from all over, but surreal in a way that I am talking to people who are physical strangers (to me). It's strange, but a good strange.
There does not seem to be a way to search for a hangout. I could be wrong. I think Hugh will post a link or title of the hangout on FaceBook and we will just have to scroll through and look to join the Google+ hangout. There is a more detailed list of information about Google+ Hangouts in a thread under General Chat. Take a look at "Google+ Hangout Information". Hope to see you there. I'm so excited!

I'm getting lonely here - everyone please post your favorite pictures from where you live. I love the ones posted here so far. I will take some from around here and post tomorrow. It's dark outside now - I don't think you would get the full effect.
