Time to share some music and create a playlist.

I found a playlist for another book I read some time ago. I listen to the songs for enjoyment now even though I don't really tie them to the original book/characters because I have read so much since then. But this song has taken on new imagery to me now that I have read Wool Omnibus.

As I listen, I automatically imagine Lukas waiting for Jules to call OR Holston lying outside the holding cell floor or sitting on the cot with Allison. So sad.

Although it does not automatically come to mind, it could fit Marnes grieving for Jahns as well. OR the couple from Mechanical whose names I cannot recall right now.

I could so naturally "see" this fitting into the Wool movie.

Then I realized recently that "The Amazing Spider Man" movie has stolen it! But I haven't seen the new Spider Man movie yet so it's not ruined for me.

Very cool thread, Charla. I don't tend to imagine music when I'm reading -- I'm not sure why. I do associate some music with books though, because it was what I was listening to in the background at the time (or worse, TV theme shows from the kids watching TV while I'm reading).

I own a couple soundtracks, but they either tend toward old music (stuff like the Rat Pack, etc.) or orchestral (Star Wars, LotR, etc.).

But I agree that music can be incredibly powerful in a film. I'm intrigued to see what other suggestions pop up here for WOOL.

I don't normally associate music with passages either, but there WAS one Enya CD that was the PERFECT soundtrack for Stephen King's The Talisman.

It's not that I hear the music when I'm reading, it's kind of the reverse. When I hear a song, it can remind me of interactions/moods,etc. in a book.

So if you hear a song that fits Wool in whatever way, put it here.

WOOL gives me different moods. the tone in the silos can be somber, quiet, etc, but i generally feel more aggressive vibes during certain scenes, like the descriptions of the wastes, abandoned silo, the gun battles. i made this fanvid before i read WOOL, but this is an example of what comes to my mind during the "big finale" of WOOL 6.

Absolutely - especially the last 20 some odd seconds with the wind down of just the instruments.
