    Smile Becoming Obsessed

My name is Amy and I live in Flippin, Arkansas. (Yes, it's really called Flippin.) I'm a full-time single mother, full-time college student, and a full-time reader.
My part-time (paying) job is as the assistant to the Teen Librarian at the Donald W. Reynolds Library in Mountain Home, AR. One of the best parts of my job is ordering great books I can't afford, and hearing about great books and authors that I may have not discovered on my own. Hugh Howey is one of those great authors. After being advised by a friend to look into Wool, I ordered it for our library and grabbed it as soon as it came in. I also ordered Half Way Home. I just finished both and am blown away. I'll be pushing these on my teens every chance I get.
I'm heading to work in an hour, and the first order of business for me is to get the rest of his books on the shelves of the Teen Library. Of course, I'll be the first to check 'em out when they come in!

Welcome to the club!!! I know exactly how you feel!!! Isn't it great to be able to say you get paid to read? (part of your job, anyway) I know how much other work librarians and their assistants do.

Welcome, Amy! My husband and his family are from Arkansas, so I actually have heard of Flippin!

I'm so excited to hear that you're a teen librarian and are getting Hugh's books out! Don't forget to look into the Molly Fyde series--I donated signed copies of several volumes to my local library.
