I’m doing a meet and greet on this new website called Shindig on Monday. It’s a chance to chat with other readers, meet some more authors, and badger me with questions. And I just found out that the thing can hold up to 500 people! So pile in!
I fall into synchronicities as if they were holes in the ground. Here is one I will share: right after reading Wool 1,(literally like 5 minutes later) I heard Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai playing on my iPod. I listened in shock and then listened again, it’s a good song. And I thought, this song is made for this book or is this book made for this song? Anyway, it was a bit of a Terminator Time-Paradox; the Terminator leaves his robotic arm in the past, the robotic arm is discovered by a tech company who then use the arm to create the Terminator, do you see where this is going?
Back to Virtual Insanity, if you know the song well then you understand by now. If you are not familiar with the song, have a listen, it’s uncanny.
lyrics to chorus:
The future’s made of virtual insanity
now always seem to be governed by this love we have
For useless, twisting of a new technology
Oh now there is no sound for we all live underground
Wow! And I love that song.
