How brilliant is this? OK Go’s latest video is my favorite thus far. So much kick-ass going on that you have to watch it more than once.

The: “I think I understand you / But I don’t” really gets me.

The video got more interesting as it progressed! Looks like they spent a bit more on production than they did on their treadmill video! They’re fun to cover as well, but this one sounds (on first listen) like it might be tricky to copy…

In Sept I’ll be seeing OK GO live for the 3rd time. They’re inventive and fun in concert, too. In fact, in true creative fashion, they’re quite willing to take risks, even if those risks turn into failure. Case in point, at the last show I saw (Kennedy Center, DC), they intended to use a bunch of cameras mounted all over themselves and the stage, as well as given out to a few lucky concert goers, to make the Kennedy Center’s first crowd-sourced concert video. It was supposed to be displayed above them on screen but the giant projector melted down during the show. Ah well, no risk, no reward.

It’s so clever. I’ve seen several of the illusions they use in this video before, but it’s still fun to watch. And I’m still a little tricked by them. That’s the great thing about illusions, even though I know they are, I’m still fascinated and entertained.
