Two New Releases

A couple anthologies to look out for. One is free, and includes 101 works of flash fiction from 101 authors. It’s called STORIES ON THE GO. A lot of people put a lot of effort into compiling and editing this work. I’m not one of them. All I did was contribute a piece for the collection.

Each story is less than 1,000 words long, so quick reads. This is a great collection of writers and a nice way to discover interesting voices before hunting down more of their works.

The other work I pre-ordered today is WASTELANDS 2, edited by John Joseph Adams. I loved the original WASTELANDS anthology. If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend it.

  1. Hey, I’m in that too! I’m just glad Hugh can reap the benefits of being in an anthology with me. :)

  2. Cue me and 99 other authors rushing to add “co-wrote a book with Hugh Howey” to their About the Author blurbs.

  3. Mark and Mike, lol. Technically, you guys did co-author a book with Hugh. I am sure you will help his sales, poor guy, lol.

    1. Hey, if I can help a struggling indie author like Hugh, then I’m all for it. I just hope the influx of fans from being included in an anthology with me doesn’t go to his head. :)

      1. I know, next thing you know he will want to keep the rights to his ebooks and start selling screen rights……oh wait……

    2. Hey, I am all about helping out the little guy. Don’t give up, Hugh, you’ll make it some day!

  4. Thanks for this great offer. I’ve enjoyed a lot of the stories I’ve read. I clicked through to some of the author websites, but didn’t stay engaged as I was in the mood for reading not looking at websites so I went back to the anthology.

I did bookmark the stories I enjoyed most. I may get around to looking those authors up on Amazon at some point.

A suggestion would be for the author to include something like, “if you enjoyed this short, I recommend you read _________ from my titles next” in their author blurb. I would have looked up that title on Amazon immediately after finishing the short.

  5. Love your stories! Keep them coming! Thank you
