Here’s a great article on the pricing madness of Dan Brown’s new blockbuster. With an industry in peril, we’re getting a dose of the poison that killed it, to see if that will make it better.
It’s homeopathic retail. About as smart as a government trying to solve a runaway boom and bust cycle by lowering interest rates to zero.

Unbelievable. You know the big publishers are just going to keep sliding when so much waste is built into the system. The small publishers have a shot to really change the industry but they have got to focus on something beyond the traditional small press model and find ways to reach that next tier as the bigger publishers did. Or, the big publishers need to adjust their wasteful system and get back in business. Survival of the fittest!
