Molly Fyde and the Land of Light

[wp_cart:Molly Fyde and the Land of Light:price:13.99:end] Okay, the manuscript has been turned into a book. That means the pages are laid out, the formatting is just the way I want it, I have the splash pages and maps in place, the headers and footnotes look good, and the page numbers are down in the corners, happy as little ticks in a dog’s hide. All that’s left is one final reading for typos, which I’m half way through doing as we speak. Of course, some will survive. They’ll hide behind…

The Perfect Holiday Gift!

Give the gift of Molly this year! Trust me, they’ll be glad you did. The best way to snag a copy is through my publisher. It’s like shopping “locally,” but without all the driving. It helps out the little people. If you need a discount (so you can buy half a dozen copies for every reader on your list) you can try Barnes and Noble. They always have discounts on their books ($11.48 as of this post. Criminal for such an amazing story). Some people only shop at Amazon these…

The Pueblo West Rotary Speech

With no time to write something up, I let a few ideas percolate over the next two days and decided to speak extemporaneously.…

Signing books and meeting people.

Two signings in the last two days (and two more over the next two). Seventeen books signed and sold, and some very interesting people bumped into. There was the lady that showed up today with a pad of paper covered in sticky notes. She was running errands for the elderly lady she cares for, and one of the stops was to come and pick up a signed copy of this science fiction book the Pueblo Chieftan mentioned in yesterday’s paper. She’s a retired physics teacher and an avid reader. I…

Happy Halloween!

How scary is that?! Today I’m off to the Boone Mall to sign some books with a few other authors. We’ll be giving away candy and terrifying children. Probably more of the latter than the former. This really is a pretty frightful day for me. Tomorrow starts NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month. I’m going to participate this year, which means 50,000 words written over the next thirty days. Normally I wouldn’t sweat this feat, but I’m not quite done with the draft for book three, which has prevented me from…
